Nichome, a groundbreaking new platform designed to incentivize user engagement within the Neo X ecosystem, has officially launched. As part of its inaugural festivities, Nichome has initiated Izakaya Season 1, a unique opportunity for users to earn GAS rewards and other future benefits through interaction with Neo X projects.
Central to Nichome’s platform is the innovative Treasure Chest mechanism. This system allows users to stake GAS, a cryptocurrency used for smart contracts on the Neo network, to receive chests packed with potential rewards. To unlock these treasure chests, users must accumulate X Credits, which can be earned through a variety of actions such as completing daily tasks, engaging with ecosystem projects, and bridging and staking NEO and GAS assets.
The rewards awaiting within the Treasure Chests are manifold, ranging from token prizes to presale shares for future projects. These become available once Nichome launches its forthcoming Launchpad feature, a platform designed to facilitate the launching of new blockchain projects.
Izakaya Season 1, the platform’s first live event, runs until Feb. 10 and comprises 42 epochs, each lasting 24 hours. During this season, users can gather X Credits by checking in daily, engaging with Nichome’s social channels, completing swaps on the Carrot Swap platform, and following partner projects like Supernova Shards and Carrot Swap.
To add a competitive edge to the proceedings, participants can increase their X Credits by earning boost multipliers, which are linked to the amount of GAS staked on Neo X. The multipliers range from a 0.75x boost for staking 1 GAS to a significant 2x boost for staking 500 GAS.
For the initial seven epochs, asset migration will be limited to Neo N3 and Neo X. However, starting from the eighth epoch, users will be able to migrate assets from other EVM blockchains via the Meson Finance cross-chain bridging protocol. Nichome has also indicated its plans to announce additional supported chains and new tokens in the near future.
